- It becomes over-stressed due to improper use under an extreme weight load, such as heavy snow or unscraped ice on the windshield.

- All appropriate fuses (see Shop or Owner’s Manual for fuse layout).
- Wiper/multifunction switch assembly is working properly.
- Electrical connections to and from the wiper motor.
